Founders Story
The Saugerties Merchants Association is comprised of business owners in various industries (an art gallery, housewares boutique, knitting shop, events venue, historical tavern, and a coffee house), but they all share a few things in common: they love Saugerties, want to shout about it, and they’re ready for more. Fearless business owners who believe in their town and their community. They live Saugerties, they love Saugerties.
Where we live is a form of self-expression. We can change it, improve it, build upon it, and make it our own. But it takes a special kind of person, or special group of people, bold enough to make that happen. These are the people who naturally see potential everywhere they go, and dare to maximize it. They know that no dream is too big, and the only limits are the ones we place on ourselves.
Saugerties is nestled in the Hudson Valley, surrounded by natural wonders, and inhabited by creative and ambitious individuals. This is the spot, the place to be. Potential, tapped and untapped, ready for the next chapter.
